- Refined flour 1 cup
- Butter 1/2 cup
- Powdered sugar or Icing sugar 3/4 cup
- Custard powder(Vanilla) 4 Tbsp
- Baking powder Pinch
- Tuti Fruiti 1/4 cup
- Pineapple essence 1 Tsp
- Salt 1/4 Tsp
- Milk 2 Tbsp
- Cardamom Powder 1/2 tsp
"Eggless Tutti Frutti Cookies " It is one of the famous cookies of India, It is also known as Karachi Biscuits or fruit Cookies.
Pre - heat oven to 200C/180C fan/gas.
Take room temperature butter in a mixing bowl, add powdered sugar, milk and essence to it, mix well and prepare a nice paste.
Now add refined flour, custard powder, cardamom powder, salt,tutti fruti and baking powder combine well, do not knead the dough too much just mix it.
In a butter paper take all the dough together and make a cylinder shape roll, wrap it and chill the dough for 30 minutes.
Then cut it in to half inch slices, place the cookies on the greased baking tray keeping enough distance between each.
Place the tray to pre-heated oven and bake 20 - 25 minutes in 180C.
