Foxtail Millets Pulao

  • Carrot 2
  • Beans 10
  • Potato 2
  • Onion 1
  • Tomato 2
  • Capsicum 1
  • Green peas 1/4 cup
  • Green chilli 4
  • Ginger 1 inch
  • Garlic 10 pods
  • Homemade Pulao powder 2 Tbsp
  • Coriander leaves
  • Ghee 2 Tbsp
  • Salt to taste
  • Foxtail millets 2 cup
  • Cumin seeds 1 Tsp
  • Turmeric pinch


Healthy lunch box or tiffin box item from foxtail millets or navane. Required ingredients and making procedure explained below, prepare at yyour  kitchen and share the  feedback with us. 

First Wash and cut in cubes of all vegetables like potatoes, capsicum, beans and carrot. also finely chop onion and tomato.

Grind and make a paste of ginger, garlic, green chilli and coriander together in blender.

Heat ghee in pressure cooker, once it started to melt add cumin seeds and grinded paste saute for a minutes.

Now add chopped tomato and onion fry till it become smooth.

Then add homemade pulao powder, turmeric, vegetables, peas and salt mix well.

Now add washed 2 cup foxtail millets and 4 cup water to it, mix well, close the lid and cook.

After 2 Whistle turnoff the flame. Let it cool for 10 minutes, then open the lid mixit carefully and serve hot with raitha.
