Multi Millets Tambittu Unde

  • Multi millets 1 cup
  • (i used Foxtail millets
  • Little millets
  • Kodo millet
  • Barnyard Millet)
  • Jaggery 1/2cup (Joni bella)
  • Cardamom powder pinch
  • Fresh coconut 1/4 cup
  • Ghee 2 tsp


Tambittu unde is authentic Karnataka festival sweet prepares during Nagara panchami. This sweet can be prepared in many different ways but traditionally it made with roasted rice flour, coconut and jaggery, here i used mixed millets instead of rice to making this sweet.

Wash millets, drain water and spread this in muslin cloth for dry. once it dry roast and make a fine powder.
Boil jaggery, little water, ghee and coconut in a non stick pan.
Jaggery mixture become one thread consistency, switch off the flame, add powdered flour, cardamom powder combine well, allow it to cool.
Once it cool down make a lemon size balls.
