Ingredients

  • Capsicum 1 or 2
  • Cooked basmati rice 1 cup
  • Onion 1 (Optional)
  • Oil 4 Tbsp
  • Channa Dal 1 Tbsp
  • Split black gram 1 tsp
  • Salt as required
  • Lemon 1
  • Green chilli 1
  • Cashew nuts (Optional)
  • Peanut 1 Tbsp(optional)
  • Curry leaves 10
  • Asafetida pinch
  • Mustard seeds 1/2 tsp
  • Turmeric pinch
  • For Masala powder:-
  • Peanut 2 tbsp
  • Split black gram 1 tsp
  • White sesame seeds 1 tsp
  • Byadagi red chilli 4-5
  • Cumin seeds1/2 Tsp
  • Coriander seeds 1 tsp
  • Cinnamon stick 1 small
  • Cloves 2

Dry roast all ingredients mentioned for masala powder and make a powder.

Heat oil in a kadai, add black gram, channa dal, peanuts, cashews, green chilli, mustard seeds, curry leaves, turmeric and asafetida.

once mustard started to pop add chopped onion and capsicum fry till both cook well.

Now add masala powder, salt and cooked rice combine well.

Once turnoff the flame squeeze lemon and serve with raitha.
